SENSITIVE EYES &
LASH HEALTH

Due to the sensitive nature of the eye area, taking the necessary precautions can play a major role in preventing allergic reactions as well as the development of one over time. Inadequate experience coupled with cheap products can be a dangerous combination - so be wary of cheap heavy extensions that use excessive glue.

By using quality products and taking extra care during the application process, you can avoid major issues down the line. But for those that already suffer from sensitivity - don't worry, we have a few solutions up our sleeve!

PREVENTION IS KEY

Once you experience a reaction, you have developed an allergy and it can be hard to go back. The key is to prevent this from happening in the first place by ensuring you have done the following:

  1. Get a patch test.

  2. Choose between cyno-free adhesive or the UV system.

  3. Cleanse and prep the eye area thoroughly and apply barrier cream before application.

  4. Nano mist regularly throughout the appointment to cure the adhesive as you go or use a high quality bonding product.

  5.  Cleanse the lashes again after application is complete and dry thoroughly.

  6. OPTIONAL: if itchiness or puffiness occurs, clients often opt for antihistamines. For more severe allergies, a light spray of fluxonase has been known to work wonders!
